What can I listen to to learn more about Christian Theology?

By Mark | April 2, 2015

A friend messaged me this morning asking about a friend who had just become a Christian, and she really wanted to understand all the essential doctrines of Christianity. Her question was “Is there a school or something she could go to online where she could learn all that stuff?” It dawned on me that there are likely many people with the same question. Here is the best answer I have: download THIS PODCAST.

It’s Dr. Wayne Grudem’s entire class on Systematic Theology which covers all the foundational Christian teachings on the Bible, God, the church, Salvation, Last Things, etc., and is the best I have found. His book which is based on this class is the ‘go to’ for systematic theology among most pastor’s right now and for good reason.

Dr. Grudem is the Research Professor of Bible and Theology at Phoenix Seminary, having previously taught at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School for 20 years. Grudem holds a B.A in Economics from Harvard University, and M.Div and D.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D in New Testament studies from the University of Cambridge. All of which means he’s brilliant, but you will see from listening to the class he’s also fun, lovable and humble.

Hope that helps!
